    Super-rare poster depicting 71 M/V Agusta motorcycles offered for sale as a single lot at the Mecum Auctions 2012 event in Monterey, California. The collection represented—and the poster illustrates—the complete post-war history of the Italian motorcycle, including the legendary first-year production 1946 98 S “3 Velocita” and early factory team race bikes up to the limited-production F4 superbikes of the 21st century.     The consigner, collector Gary Kohs, passed on an $800,000 bid for the lot. The next year, the collection was sold one bike at a time for $850,000.
